The animal is nocturnal, mostly foraging and feeding at night. Though previously thought to be quite solitary, there is now evidence that the species congregates in gender-specific groups. Mating season for raccoons falls generally anytime between January and June. Most females begin reproducing around the age of one. The female has a 65-day gestation period and gives birth to two to five kits, usually in the spring.
A mother usually separates from other raccoons to raise her young alone. The male does not participate in the raising of the kits. The black mask is already visible on newly-born kits. The kits stay in the den with their mother until they are between 8-10 weeks old, and will stay with their mother until they reach 13-14 months of age.

The Suomi-National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) satellite observed Hurricane Lane via Near-Constant Contrast (NCC) product, earlier this morning at 1228Z, 23 August 2018. The NCC is a derived product of the Day/Night Band (DNB) sensor, that illuminates atmospheric features and senses emitted and reflected light sources (i.e. cloud cover and cloud convective tops from Lane) during the nighttime. In the NCC image, notice the large areal extent of Hurricane Lane, as the northern/northeastern periphery of the storm has reached the southern shores of the Hawaiian islands, bringing heavy precipitation rates.

As you can tell, all of the moves leading to this position were rather forced, or too natural not to be made. White has taken the Knight on c6 in order to be able to develop his Bishop to d3, from where it protects the e4 pawn.
Black uses pins once more to delay the retreat of the Knight, this time with Bc8-a6. This is a clever idea, since it also develops a piece. After having moved the Queen to e7, it only makes sense for Black to play g6-Bg7, so that he does not have to waste another tempo moving the Queen away so that the Bishop can come out. It will be especially good for Black to have a Bishop in this diagonal once White has played b2-b3 to support the c4 pawn. The dark squares of the long diagonal are weakened.
Players with a classical formation and who do not wish to transpose to the Four Knights Variation or get into the complications of the Mieses Variation or the Steinitz Variation will certainly prefer this move.
Instead of taking back directly on c6, Black has a clever idea of developing a piece first, with Qd8-f6. This move threatens mate on f2 and Black will recapture the Knight only one move later. If Black plays accurately, White will not be able to reach anything more than equality out of the opening stage.

On September 21st a group of CDA team members and students from the Public History graduate program led by Dr. Charles Johnson at North Carolina Central University drove to Princeville NC to conduct oral histories. We partnered with lifelong citizens, town officials, and longtime residents of the Princeville community to collect stories and workshop the oral history backpacks. This collaboration between the CDA, NCCU, and Dr. Glenda Knight, our contact in Princeville and mayor pro tem, came about from a charrette, a type of focus group, held in Durham over the summer. Dr. Glenda Knight helped organize the event and found space for us in the temporary Princeville town hall, located in nearby Tarboro. Though it was spared the brunt of Hurricane Florence, Princeville is still recovering from Hurricane Matthew 2016 and Hurricane Floyd from 1999, hence our Tarboro location.
Minase, a high school student, found a book of magic in an isolated room in his school. He started practicing black magic that has extreme sexual effects that benefited him and some of his friends. Intrigued, Minase got deeper and deeper into using the craft, not realizing the evils that will come forth.
