European born and Australian raised, Paul Kovacevic arrived in Portland
with an impressive resume. He has cut hair all over the world and has trained
with world renowned Vidal Sassoon educators.Paul explains,
"We're not talking about a week long Sassoon Academy class here or
there,
my entire knowledge of hair and how it moves in relation to a
client's bone structure is deeply rooted in the training I received in Australia at the
Vidal Sassoon Academy." Paul uses his skill to bring out the unique beauty in each individual.
He first assesses a client's personality and style preference, and applies his
knowledge of color to enhance the beauty of each client on an individual
basis.
"It's not just about the cut, its the color, the texture, and the way
the hair
reacts to it's environment. In Oregon we have a lot of inclement
weather, but the right cut looks good rain or shine, without a lot of product
to weigh down the style. My hair isn't fussy, but rather functional." His functional geometrically inspired styles have been the talk of the town
since he first started styling for the Rock The Runway fashion shows. Since
then his styles have been featured on TV, in commercials and print magazines all
over the United States.
"It's been quite a ride, but a good one. I just like the challenge of
bringing out the inner
